Product Description

AquaPail 5500 — Emergency Gravity Water Filtration System

Clean, safe drinking water — no power, no pumps, no guesswork. The AquaPail 5500 uses ten certified DuraFlo 550-Gallon Filters to deliver up to 5,500 gallons of purified water — enough for five people's total water needs for an entire year.

What's in the Box

  • 2 Pails (one for contaminated water, one for filtered water)
  • 1 Red Lid (contaminated water) + 1 Blue Lid (filtered water)
  • 1 Hand Pump (for faster priming)
  • 10 DuraFlo 550-Gallon Replacement Filters

Easy Setup — Ready in Minutes

No tools, no experience needed. Full instructions are included, and the first filter is already installed. Just stack the buckets, set aside the extra filters for later, pour in your water, and let gravity do the rest.

Lab-Certified Filtration

The DuraFlo filter is independently tested and certified to remove:

  • 99.9999% of bacteria (up to 700 gallons)
  • 99.99% of viruses (up to 550 gallons)
  • 99.99% of Giardia & Cryptosporidium (up to 700 gallons)
  • Heavy metals, fluoride, chlorine, and hydrocarbons

This is the world's ONLY gravity-fed emergency water filter with verified "End of Life" testing — so you know exactly when it's time to replace, with no guessing.

What the Filter Does (and Doesn't) Remove

The DuraFlo filter removes toxins, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, chlorine, and other contaminants from virtually any non-salt water source — including chlorinated pool water. It does not remove salt, so it is not suitable for saltwater or salt-based pool water.

Works From Any Non-Salt Water Source

Rivers, lakes, rainwater — the AquaPail handles it. Pre-filter sediment with any cloth first, then let gravity do the rest.

Why AquaPail Is Worth It

Each DuraFlo filter was tested on septic-level contaminated water — the harshest possible conditions. For everyday use filtering tap water, your filters will last even longer. At $99.95 per replacement filter, the AquaPail 5500 gives you up to 5,500 gallons of certified clean water — that's a fraction of the cost of bottled water, with the peace of mind that it works when you need it most.

Filter Compatibility & Replacement

DuraFlo replacement filters ($99.95 each) are compatible across all three AquaPail models — the 1100, 3300, and 5500. Replace your filter when water stops flowing through it. To install a new filter, simply separate the two white washers at the top, place one washer inside the bucket, insert the filter, and tighten the other washer with the screw nut on the outside.

Extend Filter Life with Backflushing

To potentially extend filter life, remove the clear plastic tube and connect it to the nib on the opposite side of the filter to backflush. This can help clear buildup and restore flow.
